 “A” Team Commitment -

Players who want to be considered for the MYL “A" level team are required to attend an "A" team ONLY tryouts in December.  Tryouts for boys and girls “A” teams will posted on mylax.net left tabs. MYL “A” Teams are for the more serious experienced players that wants to compete at a high level against similar competition and are fully committed to playing Lacrosse for MYL.

In consideration of teammates, any player that does not play lacrosse as their primary spring sport might not qualify for an “A” team, regardless of the results of their player evaluation.

Players playing Travel Club Lacrosse in the Spring and also play for MYL need to make MYL their top priority over their Travel Club Lacrosse team, no exceptions.

If a player must frequently miss practices or games due to participation in another sport or activity, MYL reserves the right to place that player on a different team to free a spot on the “A” team for a player who will participate fully.

Team practices for “A” Teams are held 2-3 days per week for all teams during the spring season.   The weeknight practice schedule is based on coaches' availability and field space.  The practice schedules should be available by Mid-February.

“B” Team Commitment -

Any players that do not qualify for the “A” Teams will be placed on a Upper B (UB) or Lower B (LB) teams based on skill and experience. All players in all age-groups, except 6U, are required to attend the “B” team placement Evaluations in December & January so we can determine players ability and placement on the appropriate level team. Being on a “B” team is still very competitive and requires a commitment and dedication to the team and also as an individual.

Team practices for “B” Teams are held 2 days per week for all teams during the spring season.   The weeknight practice schedule is based on coaches' availability and field space.  The practice schedules should be available by Mid-February.
