We are pleased to announce the 12U A team has been selected. We want to congratulate all of the boys who tried out and the boys that were selected. While this roster of 19 is final as of today, there’s some possibility that it may change - and 1-2 players who are not currently on the roster will be added. Those decisions will be determined based on the coaches evaluations and with input from the other coaches within the age group.
Please contact Rob Walters or Marc Cadin if you have any questions or would like additional information.

“A” Team Commitment -
Players who want to be considered for the MYL “A" level team are required to attend an "A" team ONLY tryouts in December. MYL “A” Teams are for the more serious experienced advanced players that wants to compete at a high level against similar competition and are fully committed to playing Lacrosse for MYL. “A” teams are highly competitive and all players are expected to attend all games and practices.
In consideration of teammates, any player that does not play lacrosse as their primary spring sport might not qualify for an “A” team, regardless of the results of their player evaluation. If a player must frequently miss practices or games due to participation in another sport or activity, MYL reserves the right to place that player on a different team to free a spot on the “A” team for a player who will participate fully.
Team practices for “A” Teams are held 2-3 days per week for all teams during the spring season. The weeknight practice schedule is based on coaches' availability and field space. The practice schedules should be available by Mid-February.
“B” Team Commitment -
Any players that do not qualify for the “A” Teams will be placed on a Upper B (UB) or Lower B (LB) teams based on skill and experience. All players in all age-groups, except 6U, are required to attend the “B” team placement Evaluations in January so we can determine players ability and placement on the appropriate level team. Being on a “B” team is still very competitive and requires a commitment and dedication to the team and also a commitment to improving as an individual. Players on the UB teams typically have at least two years or more of competitive lacrosse playing experience with McLean Youth. Players on the LB team are more beginners or less experienced players or players with less than a full year of lacrosse playing experience.
Team practices for “B” Teams are held 2 days per week for all teams during the spring season. The weeknight practice schedule is based on coaches' availability and field space. The practice schedules should be available by Mid-February.
